6th AERODAYS 2011 |
|
Aerodays presents the development and application of advanced aeronautics technologies in Europe and it is the most important European Commission aeronautical event. I was very pleased to be one of 36 lucky students, who have been accepted for the sponsored program, at the same time the only student representing Czech republic. Except for access to all congress sessions, social programme, free accommodation and allowance to the travel expenses, I had an opportunity to present the poster about my research. That was very nice, as this year the conference was super big with more than 1400 participants from all over the world. Many people were interested in my research and I get a lot of interesting contacts for future cooperation. The event showed the opportunities that the aeronautics sector gives, due to its strategic character and high potential.
On Wednesday I celebrated succesfull presentation and a lot of new contacts and friendships during the official dinner, which was in the form of a reception offered by the Regional Government of Madrid in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. Visit of the permanent collection of the Museum was also very interesting.
The technical visit at INTA offered an overview of the Institute´s activities in the fields of aeronautics and space, illustrated by specific visits at selected facilities related to R&T for UAV, and atmospheric studies, as well as to the testing of large aerospace structures and very large aircraft engines. The last day of conference was offered a free visit to the Aeronautics and Astronautics Museum, but for me it was already time to fly back to Prague, for my czech students and the first SAFETY MATTERS training. At the end of this short report I would like to thank to the organizers of Aerodays 2011 and all participants of the student contest. I had a lot of fun, met new interesting people, find out about some new research topics and create new friendships and got contacts for possible future cooperation!
And a big THANK YOU for my PhD. supervisor Prof. Daniel Hanus for a cooperation. Check out our poster from the conference!
