Few weeks ago Tim Ware, Partnership Co-ordinator, wrote:
"Hi Rosina,
I found your site on facebook while looking for skydiving groups. I work for a project called the 11 Eleven project which is a world collaborative documentary highlighting different ways of life around the world. Basically on the 11th of November this year we're asking everybody to film or photograph a day in their life which we would then edit into either a 2 hour documentary or use in an album of 1440 photos. Right now I'm searching for willing pilots, skydivers and just general people of the sky to contribute."

As a pilot and skydiver I couldn't refuse ;)

11ELEVEN PROJECT

On the 11th November 2011 – the date in both the Southern and Northern Hemisphere reads:

11/ 11/ 11

This alignment of ones takes place every hundred years, and this time humanity will recognise the occasion like never before.

ONE is a human project which aims to bring all people from around the world together to create one human voice.

For 24 hours, on 11/11/11 anyone who has access to a film, video, digital, phone, web camera or microphone will be invited to partake in the biggest creative project of our human history. People from 196 different countries, communicated to in over 2000 languages will be asked to capture a day in the life of their world.  On the 11/11/11 a key word will be given to all participants who wish to record so as to ensure that the filming is taking place on the correct date.

Once participants have finished filming they will be able to upload the footage/ images to the one world one film website. Part of their uploading process will include an application form, which will help process information about the material.  This form will ease the post-production logging pathway, so as to assist in categorising the footage.  The footage, audio, visual and photographic material will be collated and created into a variety of different projects.

The 11/11/11  project is a time capsule – that captures our world in a way that has never been technologically possible before. This is moment in human history – by the people – for the people. This is a project that recognises our similarities, celebrates our differences and create a movement towards a greater understanding of our common humanity. The 11/11/11  project will attempt to shift the psyche of the world, where we connect with one another on a new level, where we recognise our shared desires as representatives of the human race.
